DepEd’s Goal and Commitment • One million OSYs in 2014 • Use of existing learning resources and development of new ones • Incorporating Abot-Alam into the local DepEd’s KRAs • Resource allocation and mobilization • National level advocacy campaign to generate support for the program
Expectations from the LGU Share in the vision of “No Filipino youth left behind” -- Wala sang bata sa Iloilo nga mabilin. Adopt Abot-Alam as the LGU’s program for OSYs in partnership with DepEd. Provide leadership, with support from the local DepEd, to the Abot-Alam local alliance Mandate the barangays to gather data based on Abot-Alam template/format Allocate and mobilize resources Undertake local level advocacy campaign to generate support for the program
