How is this year’s Data Different? • This impacts our district because it increases • the number of students we tested. • This increases the confidence Interval • (makes the range smaller).
Consequences are only for schools/districts that receive Title I Funding Wellstone Amendment

JIS NCLB Data
Targets vary due to the student population. Count the YES boxes to determine the # targets.
JIS Targets increase at increments to move our students to proficiency by 2014.. Last year there is a 3 year period before standard is raised annually. Increases at increments to move all students to proficiency by 2014.

Neither school nor the district is in consequences. If JMHS did not use Title I funds, they could not have any consequences even if they missed AYP every year. To have consequences, the school would have to miss AYP for two consecutive years.
AYP is one measure of accountability. It reflects reading and math at specific grades only. CATS data will be available is September and will give us a broader picture of Student achievement in multiple areas.
