The Taiwan Automotive Committee is dedicated to supporting the automotive industry through committee meetings, government engagement, CEO roundtable discussions, and position papers. We tackle seven main issues including luxury tax, exchange rates, CO2 emission standards, safety type approval, utilization of radio spectrum frequencies for safety devices, and import bans. Our achievements in 2011 include adopting EU smoke test standards, improving fuel quality, streamlining parts homologation, accrediting EU test laboratories, and accepting ECE certificates.
