Positive Outcomes • Utilize technology to differentiate for a wide variety of students. • Extend the teaching day. • Model good technique while supporting student learning • Build a community of learners in a web environment • Add curriculum to enhance student learning to address a global perspective. • Collaborate with faculty for cross-curricular activities to showcase the relevancy of music. • Address Teacher Evaluation process in Marzano’s domains. • Encourages collaborative learning for students

  3. “Show Me” App • ShowMe is an open online learning community where anyone can learn and teach any topic. • iPadapp lets you easily create and share video lessons. • For music students who may need extra support, a personalized lesson can be recorded and emailed to the student to ensure successful completion of their lessons. • https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/showme-interactive-whiteboard/id445066279?mt=8

  5. GarageBand • Preload voice parts • Create opportunities for Blended Learning • Additional support for the novice or struggling musician. • Model good technique, correct tone quality • Extend teaching day

Jigsawing • GarageBand MP3s can be transformed into a teaching tool in the classroom. • Use a boombox and a CD to provide an opportunity for student led sectionals. • Similar to a Jigsaw puzzle, students work in sections to learn voice part culminating in a combined final rehearsal of the music for that class period.

  7. WIKI: What I know is….. • A "wiki" is a website that allows people who use the website to edit it (or specific portions, like the answers to questions such as this website allows). It allows users to collaborate together to create content.
