Fats • Fats are composed of building blocks called fatty acids. There are 3 categories of fatty acids: Saturated Fats, Polyunsaturated Fats, and Monosaturated Fats.
Protein What does it do? What types of proteins? • It provides your body with energy. • Protein helps build strong muscles. • It breaks down into amino acids, which are the building blocks of all protein. • Complete Proteins • Incomplete Proteins
Proteins Complete Proteins Incomplete Proteins Complete proteins contain lots of amino acids. We can find them here: • Meat • Fish • Poultry • Eggs • Milk Incomplete proteins only contain some essential amino acids. They are found: • In a variety of foods! • Grains • Vegetables
