SFHS CAHSEE Pass Rates • In 2008: • English Language Arts = 85 % • Mathematics = 85% • Current Sophomores = 772 • Approx 200 students @ risk for not passing
Prevention • Standards-based instructional program beginning in 9th grade. • CAHSEE prep built into the 10th grade math & English classes (warm-ups)
Mock CAHSEE • Administered in English & Math • Students who score less than 65% should definitely plan to attend CAHSEE prep Saturday classes!!! • Beginning February 21 • English & Math Interventions: Saturdays (8:00 – 12:00 noon)
Interventions • Parallel English & Math Courses (11th & 12th graders yet to pass) • Intensive Interventions (Seniors)
