La responsabilidad social de la universidad debe enmarcarse en la formación de personas con conocimientos socialmente útiles que contribuyan en la satisfacción de las necesidades humanas y la calidad de vida de nuestros pobladores. Es así, como el programa se ha dado a la tarea de proyectarse a la comunidad desde varias estrategias activas y reales que evidencien el impacto social y humano de nuestra profesión en el medio, algunas de ellas las ha liderado el área de Recreación, asumiendo el compromiso consciente y coherente de servir desde el conocimiento a la re-creación saludable y la transformación humana en lo físico, social, mental y ambiental
