SSA Recreation Program Recreational Soccer Program • Boys and Girls ages 4 - 12 (grades Pre-k - 6) • 725 players - Summer 2019 • 476 players - Fall 2019 • 775 players - Summer 2018 • 419 players - Fall 2018 • Divide teams by age and gender • Future of the SSA Soccer program • Goal is to develop young players while having FUN • Volunteer Coaches make program successful

  11. 2019 Shakopee Cup Tournament 13th Annual Shakopee Cup • Full tournament format • 7 Field Locations with 23 Fields • 218 teams registered • 357 scheduled games • 230 games completed and 127 cancelled on Sunday • A HUGE Thank You to Dan Dietzel, Chris Lewis, Amy Black, Blaise Roberts and the Tourney Committee • Next year's tournament committee is currently forming, and we are seeking volunteers

  12. 2019 MYSA Tournaments • SSA Hosted the C3 Weekend MYSA State Tournament • SSA Hosted the C1 & C2 MYSA State Tournament • Hosted all C1 & C2 MYSA State Championship Games (only site) • Multi-Day tournaments over 1.5 weeks • Fundraiser – Based on teams participating and concession income • Great exposure for the club • Thank you to all the SSA volunteers • SSA has been contracted until 2022 to host the MYSA State Tournaments

SSA Finances • Travel fees continue to remain very competitive • Reasons for fee increase: • Increased payment for coaches • Addition of age group trainers • More facility time for winter training for teams • Increased school facility fees for training • Rec fees did not increase • Financially Strong Club • SSA has a 3-month operating reserve • Always looking for additional sponsorships

  14. St. Francis Sponsorship • SSA appreciates our partnership with St. Francis Hospital  • 100% of money goes directly to financial aid fund • St. Francis has been our main sponsor for the last 4 years • Looking to continue that partnership for future years

  16. SSA 2019 Financial Aid ALL our sponsorship dollars go toward funding our Financial Aid Program. SSA helps subsidize registration fees for families in our recreation and competitive programs. This is the 4th year we have been providing financial aid for families 2019 Overall Aid • 100 kids total received Financial Aid • $15,518.00

SSA and Community Year in Review • Adopt-A-Park – 3 Clean-up Events at 17th Ave Sports Complex • Provided three Dollars for Scholars scholarships • Ethan Pherson coordinated an Eagle Scout event to plant 10 trees at Sports Complex • Tree Pruning Event with City of Shakopee – Tree Grant Help • Helped Fund a Sprinkler System at Tahpah • Each SSA Competitive Team commits to a Service Project • Provide volunteer hours to Majerus Family for TOPSoccer • Partnership with Esperanza program • Working on installing a fence at 17th Ave Sports Complex

SSA Club Year in Review • 3 teams will play at the MYSA Premier Level in 2020 • Secured a 3-year deal with MYSA to host C1 - C3 State Tournaments • Formed a Marketing Committee to expand our brand • Provided College Prep program • Placed all 9U-12U teams in the TCSL Summer league • Added Winter Futsal scrimmages with Prior Lake and New Prague • Expanded GK training program to 11U players

SSA Look Ahead • Expansion of Shakopee Cup in 2020 and 2021 • New Futsal Tournament in January 2020 • Continue to expand Rec Program and convert players to Competitive Program • Form a sponsorship committee to seek additional sponsorship partners • Continue to improve communication between club and members • Investigate and implement new ways to market SSA • Look to expand partnership with Esperanza program • Recruit and mentor more referees • Explore ways to expand SSA with the changing soccer landscape in MN
