  2. Location • The areas labeled in orange are tundra biomes

  3. Climate • Harsh winters • Low temperatures • Little precipitation • Short summers

  4. Vegetation • There are few plant species in a tundra. Like shrubbery and other things like so: • Arctic moss • Cotton Grass

  5. Soil • The soil is not fertile and it is classified as permafrost which is made of frozen ground and dead plants

  6. Animals • Surprisingly even in the frigid temperatures there happens to be animals living in a tundra. • Arctic Wolf • Arctic fox

  7. Animals (cont.) • Here are some birds that live in the Tundra • Ptarmigan • Snowy Owl IT’S HEDWIG YES OWLS AR BIRDS!!!!!!!

  8. Animals (yes more) • Now lastly but not least we have some grass grazers • Caribou I am not a REINDEER! • Reindeer

  9. Geography • A tundra is flat, mountainous, and treeless THOSE ARE SHRUBS

  10. Atmosphere • With global warming heating up the Tundra new predatory animals are invading the tundra. • This guy as cute as he seems, is contending with the arctic wolf for food which is bad for both species. • Also global warming is melting away the permafrost and because of the dead plants, guess what that releases? CO2
