OUR STRENGTHS • Solid concept • Prominent planning Skills (idea, venue, scheduling and staff) • Built-in attendees: captive audience • Ability to create an exciting environment for students and staff of Westheights Public School • Sufficient décor and branding (IGNITE/PAN AM Games and Seneca College: signage, staff shirts, banners, projector PPT) • Solid networking and support: Venue, Sponsors, School staff • Acquiring PAN AM Athlete – Mandy Bujold • Great teamwork amongst Kreative Solutions and Volunteers • Volunteer staff assistance: High quality and quantity • Avoided excessive budget: appropriate in-kind support
OUR WEAKNESSES • Sponsorship restrictions set by IGNITE • No Mascot • Bowling Station took a lot of energy and time to reset every time a student bowled • Traffic and weather issues! • Did not create awareness of Parapan-Am Games • Late arrivals led to late set-up time: weather! • Athlete could only stay half the day
Production Schedule – Event Day *Schedule is repeated per each class period
FEEDBACK FROM SENIOR STAFF • Great event and great concept • Logistics of event flowed well • Groups meetings were very productive • Students would’ve love to see PACHI • Volunteers were great help • Able to work on the fly and think of solutions • Lack of resources and recognition from IGNITE
FEEDBACK FROM VOLUNTEERS • “Very organized and timing was perfect. Mandy Bujold was a great asset to the event and school staff was very helpful.” – Celine Chen • “Felt the brand image of IGNITE and the PAN AM Games were really exposed and educated towards the students.” – Christina D • “It was very exciting and the students were really engaged.” – Elizabeth Huynh • All our volunteers felt that bowling should’ve been replaced with a more team orientate sport
LEARNING opportunities: • Interactive key speaker, Mandy Bujold, is extremely inspiring for audience members and proves a great experience. • Attempt to secure additional athletes and mascot, and establish full-day athlete attendance • Look at traffic reports • Our Event can become movement implemented in other high schools, building momentum to the 2015 games.
TO OUR VOLUNTEERS:Christina, Celine, elizabethanyka, alex, garrett, jamiebrad & donna THANK YOU!!
