What’s art? The creation of beautiful or thought-provoking works, for example, in painting, music, or writing. Georges Seurat’s Sunday Afternoon On The Island Of La Grande Jatte is a great example of modern art, its technique is pointillism. This peace illustrate modern, it is showing how the people dressed and act in the19th century. Modern art is hard to define. Everyone can have his own interpretation of modern art, his own definition.
At the time of this painting, Picasso was going through some family troubles. You can see the symbolizing being used. As Picasso being the Bull, a strong man trying to fight his problems with two women at the same time. This Picture is Modern Art in our opinion because everybody could relate to the picture in anyway you analyze it. One of them pregnant being symbolized by the child and the light. Another thing noticed here, is the woman dead and the horse, this maybe meant as his decision over both of the females and him feeling like he is dead. A way out of his problems is the man on the ladder or the sailboat on the corner of the painting. it will be solved escaping from it.
This is a picture of trees and a water fall. This picture is modern art because it is a picture of nature and nature is and will always will be modern art.
