  3. Background Dec’11-Mar’12 – National working group July 2012 – Sector forum July 2012 – Information package distributed October 2012 – WA NGO Technical Working Group (TWG) formed Five meetings to date Information development MHC webpage Jan-Jun’13 – contract renewal

Background (cont.) • Why? • Collect nationally consistent information to better inform policy, practice and planning of NGO activities • Recognised burden in regard to what when how and to whom • TWG preferred solution (web-based) agreed to by the Commissions Corporate Executive • Purpose is for one collection to meet requirements for • Contract acquittal • State KPI • State Annual reporting • Meet future National Minimum Data Set requirements

MH NGOE SDC • Data alignment with national definitions • MHC contracts have changed to meet with this requirement. • Reporting burden • Compared with previous years there are some small changes to what is being reported • Any additional burden offset by having a collection based on the principle of collect once use many times.

Process • Consulted with NGO members of the TWG • Consulted with MHC CX • Researched potential providers based on specifications (TWG members provided with specification details) • Government procurement process • WebSurvey deemed most suitable and services procured • Initial development and testing (MHC) • User acceptance testing (MHC contract managers and TWG NGO members) • Information sheet distributed to all MHC funded NGOs

  8. Process (yet to complete) • Changes to system based on UAT feedback • Documentation (available within system) • User guide • Data guides • Full specifications • Training

Next Steps • This is stage one of the development and has focused on data collection only • Future phases • Improve functionality (feedback from users) • Add modules associated with 25 July 2014 reporting requirements • Include more real time validation • Incorporate historical data • System generated reports/feedback

  10. Key Dates • Go Live date planned for Monday 2 December 2013 • 2013 standards and outcome monitoring • 2014 service improvement plan • 6 month activity reporting for period 1 Jul-31 Dec • Due Date: 25 January 2014
