Student Engagement Activities • Academic Programs • STEM / FIRST Robotics Team • Homework Club / NHS Tutoring • 9th Grade Counts academic skill remediation • Various curricular clubs extending learning • Newcomers & ELD assistance • Enrichment Programs • Culturally oriented clubs and organizations • Fitness and activity clubs and teams • Student developed interest clubs
Credit Recovery & Adult Education • Provides a waypoint to students for improving their chances to graduate. • Allows the creation of a continuum between local community colleges and area high schools. • Allows for in-house GED Preparation, increasing student and adult education opportunities. • Extends the learning day and year.
Writing Intervention • Dedicates a space to address students moving toward a passing score on the state writing requirement. • Scheduled assistance for sophomores to refine writing skills and prove proficiency. • Improves academic skills across the curricula. • Improves graduation rates.
Bussing • Activity busses from school at designated ending times increase enrollment and access to grant programs. • Secondary students can be provided access to public transit through grant funds at night and for adults. • Public transit as an incentive for participation. • Improves the ability to get Regular Attendees.
