Practical arrangements • Food and Drink • Mid-morning and mid-afternoon refreshments here • Lunch in staff restaurant (at own expense) – tables have been reserved • Dinner this evening • Angela’s restaurant, Fore Street • Meet there at 7.00 pm • Food will be paid for by Met Office, but we will need to pay for our own drinks • Sign up and make your menu choicesthis morning
Practical arrangements • In emergencies • Evacuate via staircase at end of build (turn left out of conference room) • NB. There will be a test alarm on Wednesday afternoon • Toilets • Turn right out of conference rooms and keep going right until you get there. • More toilets available on ground floor around the Street.

Aims of the meeting • Review and consolidate current work • Collaboration with SWFDP – our focus needs to be on development, demonstration and evaluation of products based on TIGGE data. • TIGGE-LAM & other GEOWOW developments • Look forward to the future after 2014. • The database, established, extending in time –a real success. Plan for future continuation & evolution after the completion of THORPEX. • How best TIGGE & TIGGE-LAM can support the new projects (polar prediction, sub-seasonal to seasonal prediction, high-impact weather). • Proposed expert team on Predictability, Dynamics & Ensemble Forecasting. • Plans for archive management & product development.
