Fine Arts Academy Instruction that involves the integration of the arts ( music, visual arts, drama and dance) into core curricular areas.

Math • Based on the Cherokee County Performance Standards & Common Core Standards • On Core/ Houghton-Mifflin • Math Games • Calendar Math: Date and Time Sequence Counting by 1’s, 2’s, 5’s, 10’s, Money, Weather, Tallies • Waterford Computer Program
Science/ Socials Studies/ Health • Social Studies and Science is based on Georgia Performance standards • Science Series and textbook • Health is based on Georgia’s Q.C.C.’s • Literature Based, Hands on Activities, and arts integration
Behavior Management Plan • We will use a “clip up/clip down” system. • Students may move up and down throughout the day. • They will earn or loose tickets based on where their clip is at the end of the day. • Notes will be sent home when a clip is on Parent Contact or at teacher’s discretion. • Tickets may be cashed in each Friday for prizes
Things to know: • Check red folders and agendas nightly • Homework / Spelling Monday- Thursday night Turn on Friday Read every night • AR (Incentive Program) • Snack (healthy snack please and water only) • Wear tennis shoes on PE days • Transportation Changes in agenda • Absences/ Tardy • Parent Volunteers/ PTA • Parent /Teacher Conferences-Fall & Spring
