Update on Alignment kit and Stave 250 frameand thoughts for Stave 130M.Gibson (RAL)7/6/13 • Status of infrastructure for stave 250 module mounting and testing. • Stave 130 ‘stuff’
Stave 250 Module Mounting • Now have 3 modified jigs, with 2 assembled onto the bridges using the pre-loaded bearing principle. • Ivan has started looking at the problem or array handling given the data from Tim, and using Peters drawing. • A set of data for manual positioning has been created. • Stave expected 5th June (wed) with the stave frame expected on the 12th . (Wed). • I am assuming no Kapton between modules ‘cos I havn’t made any or modified the glue pattern. • Mike is away until June 10th (Monday) at earliest. Need him to bend the linking pipes stave to frame and Ian, Richard, or John to weld the ends on. • Plenty to do 5th to 12th as we will have to measure the kapton to see if its like the drawing and form a plan. So 19th (Wed) or 20th June we might be in a position to stick a module.
Stave 250 testing infrastructure • Installation of the CO2 system is progressing. Bunds are installed, along with N2 (for flushing of the test volume). • The SS pipe installation is progressing slowly because we have lost Mike so I am doing it! • A design for all the necessary interlocks now exists. Needs converting to a real circuit and the items ordering. • Automatic fume extraction fan, trunking, and hole in window all exist, just needs fitting. • I have the CO2 solenoid on my desk and the connectors arrived 30/5/13. • CO2 detection system is on order and due anytime now. • Still not done anything about measuring the liquid level of CO2 in the bottles. But ultrasonics looks like the way forwards.
