Grad Project Presention Prior to the student’s Presentation, the panel will review the portfolio in order to obtain an understanding of what has been accomplished. The portfolio will contain the final research paper, verification of the project, and additional materials that help support the Presentation. The student will then speak (6-8 minutes) on his or her research paper, the Product application, lessons learned, and the challenges encountered during achievement of the project.
This Presentation must include an effective visual aid. Upon completion of this oral summary of the project, The student must be prepared to field questions from the panel relating to the different phases of the project. The oral Presentation phase of the project is, in essence, a self-evaluation which enables the student to reflect on what he or she has accomplished. In the event a Presentation falls short or extends beyond the 6-8 minutes designated in the county guidelines, judges will have the discretion to award a passing grade to that Presentation if they choose.
