Is an instructional model that is used to include online learning. • The flipped classroom model reverses traditional lecture/application cycle ( McNulty, 2013).
Integrating Flipped Classroom into the curriculum • Knowing the content to be taught is important • Be mindful of who your audience is • Set clear objectives • Consider the time limit for videos • This model of online learning is the bridge between their world and the academic world.
Using flipped classroom teachers can reach all learning styles through differentiated instruction (Hunt, 2013) • Students have access to learning any time. • Students are provided with relevant skills and knowledge that will prepare them for successful careers (McNulty, 2013). • This model of online learning offers group and independent learning.
Pros and Cons (cont’d) • Not all students have access to online learning. • You cannot assure that they are watching the videos. • Not all students are independent learners will be motivated
