Getting it right first time Non-verbal corrections
Getting it right You know what is right Warnings can seem like we accept poor behaviour There will be no warnings Teachers know some of you will not always get it right They will act quickly to support you back on to your learning If this does not help they will Catch-Up with you at the end of the day in the library
Getting it right Students need to arrive to school fully equipped to learn. They need to have all the necessary equipment as detailed in the Y7 Information booklet. Failure to have the necessary equipment will eventually end in a catch up – this is something we want to avoid.
PREP. Tuesday – Thursday 9.20am – 10 am. Students must also carry a reading book at all times in their school bag as they complete 15 minutes reading at the beginning of each PREP session Key Stage 3:“…..English, Maths, Science, French, Spanish, Geography and History should set PREP each week so that students can complete their work in PREP on a Tuesday – Thursday morning period 1. Please do not worry if you think you have set too much. Students know that they may need to complete work at home if there is insufficient time during the school day. It is much better that they have too much than too little. Key Stage 3 (Year 7 and 8) students will have independent reading time during each PREP session also. You may find that some Key Stage 3 students have completed their PREP at home (this is fine) – if this is the case, they should read during their PREP session or may ask for additional work ….”
Springwest Academy is a money free school which means we do not deal with cash with the exception of uniform.
