Entering the Classroom • Enter the classroom quietly and on time. • All necessary materials should be ready at your desk, including journals. • Sharpen pencils before class starts. • Write down the daily objective and assignments. • Write down and begin Daily Bell-work immediately. • You will have approximately 10 minutes to silently complete the bell-work after the tardy bell rings.

  3. Homework~After Bell-work, you will get out your homework assignment for me to check.~Then we will go over the answers and any questions you might have.~Then I will most likely collect the homework.

  4. The Lesson When I begin the day’s lesson, all attention MUST be on the material presented. All students are expected to participate and take detailed notes in your journals (which will be graded). You are expected to take an active part in the math process and ask questions.

  5. The Lesson Cont’d You will be given time in class to work on the practice assignment. You may work with your partner quietly. If you do not understand something about the assignment, I expect you to ask me for help.

  6. Assignments There will be daily practice assignments (expect quizzes often). The weekly Khan Academy assignments are expected to be completed during R&E or Knight Time. The Bell-work is collected every Friday for a completion grade.
