Maricopa County Regional School District No. 509Salary Schedule ProposalREIL-TNG
Overview Maricopa County Regional School District values effective teachers, instructional coaches and administrators. As a result, we have developed a salary schedule that is based on rewarding their effectiveness based on their mastery of the Learning Observation Instrument (LOI) and meeting district-wide student achievement goals.
Salary Structure The following slides will address in details of the three main components to MCRSD’s salary structure: • Guaranteed Salary • REIL-TNG Incentive for Effectiveness • District Incentives
Part 1: Guaranteed Salary • Every teacher that is hired will have the same base salary regardless of years of service and educational degree level. • If a teacher comes from another REIL-TNG district, the teacher will be paid based on their performance label from the prior school year. • Current employees will stay at their individual base salary. • Yearly 301 Compensation monies are from fund 011 and are included in the guaranteed salary for all MCRSD teachers.
Part 2: REIL-TNG • Highly Effective and Effective Teachers, Coaches and Administrators will be awarded based on their annual performance label. This award amount will be a permanent increase to their base salary. • In addition to their permanent increase to their base salary, 30-days into the following school year they will also receive a lump sum retention stipend between 50% - 75% of their base salary increase amount.
Part 2: REIL-TNG School Year 2014 - 2015 School Year 2016 - 2021
Part 3: District Incentives • Teachers that meet the district’s strategic plan goals will be rewarded with 301 monies until school year 2016. 301 goals will be incorporated into their annual performance label after school year 2015. Due to the high mobility rate of our students (Detention – 17 days; Southwest Key – 30 days), the district has developed district-wide goals that align to the strategic plan. The district will phase out 301 as a separate component and align our district student achievements to teacher effectiveness as it relates solely to MCRSD. • Stipends are available for Special Education Teachers, AIMS Coordinator and high need positions (e.g. Math, Science, Specialty).
