IOOS DMAC Essentially Defunct No Meeting in November 2006 Schnebel Retires 31-Aug-07 Looking for Nov 07 Meeting money 2) Implement National DMAC in GCOOS-RA (create implementation plan)DMAC members contribute edits to Matt Howard and Susan Starke • No formal action taken. • It’s premature to write a detailed plan. • Why premature? • National Guidelines not established • IOOS Workshop in October 2007 will help

  6. 3) Establish data standards committeeBill Burnett, Scott Duff, Brenda Babin • No Action • Planned to meet at QARTOD IV in Woods Hole in 2006 but were not able to get together. No progress since previous BOD meeting

  7. 4 & 7) Consider/Recommend DMAC-related pilot projectsSteve Beaudet, Ed Kearns • No pilot projects recommended • Two pilots reviewed and comments made • Modeling Activity • Regional Operations Center Concept

  8. 5) Build Portal Subramanian (lead) with Howard, Duff, Babin • Data Portal development FUNDED!!! $500K one year • Plan to transition Data Portal to Regional Operations Center • Data Portal/Regional Operation Center proposal for FY08 NOAA CSC opportunity

  9. 6) Demonstrate interoperability by pushing GCOOS data and model outputfrom GCOOS providers to OPENIOOSVembu Subramanian, Ed Kearns, Matt Howard • USF demonstrated interoperability by serving fields to SEACOOS (and continuing) • TAMU supplied fields to OPENIOOS and Texas Mesonet Sites • TGLO TABS Data • TGLO Model Output

  12. New Developments • NOAA/CSC Registry - Implemented (Howard on SC) • NWS Adopts OGC WMS server approach • OOSTethys morphs into OGC Ocean Interoperability Experiment. (Sensor Web Enablement) TAMU Involved. • MMI to host metadata workshop - GOM likely to be location. (February 2008 - looking for IOOS support) • Beach Water Quality (Florida first) to be posted on web
