2. What is Danida Fellowship Centre?
Danida Fellowship Centre’s main objective is to arrange courses and training for counterpart staff of Danida programmes and projects – in Denmark or in developing countries (nationally and regionally).
The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs defines the framework for the training activities of the programmes and projects, while DFC is in charge of all educational, administrative and practical functions in connection with a fellow´s study in Denmark.
The fellowship activities are financed by a central grant as well as funds from Danida programmes and projects.
The target group is counterpart staff of Danida programmes/projects as well as NGOs and private institutions involved in activities supported by Danida

4. Interdisciplinary Courses Gender Mainstreaming (3 weeks – also in French and Spanish) for policy and decision makers responsible for implementation of gender policies.
Conflict Management (4/5 weeks) for staff who have conflict management as a central component of their work.
A Rights-Based Approach to Development Planning (3 weeks) for national counterparts and staff working within various sectors and thematic areas.
HIV/AIDS Mainstreaming (3 weeks) for policy and decision makers responsible for implementation of HIV/AIDS mainstreaming policies.
Environmental Mainstreaming (4 weeks – also in Spanish) for policy and decision-makers, environmental officers and other staff working with environmental issues.
Anti-Corruption (3 weeks) for managers, policy and decision makers involved in curbing corruption.
Public Sector Leadership (3+2 weeks) for personnel managers and heads of section from Danida co-operation partners and related ministries.
5. Interdisciplinary Courses (cont’d) Capacity Development, Adult Education and Training Delivery for heads of HRD, training and planning sections, key staff or others in similar positions.
Financial Management and Good Governance (5 weeks) for executive officers responsible for finances.
Organisational Change Management (3+1 weeks/2 weeks) for managers and executive staff assigned to a key role in planned organisational change processes.
Towards 2015: Effective Management for Development (4+2 weeks) for staff involved in management at sector component and/or project level
Public-Private Co-operation (3+2 weeks) for staff involved in setting up and managing public-private co-operation.
Procurement (2 weeks) for managers and executive staff involved in procuring and contracting for services.
COP15 – Climate and Journalism (3+2/2 weeks) for journalists covering climate issues and the climate summit in Copenhagen.
6. Interdisciplinary Courses (cont’d) Farmers' Managed Advisory Services (5 weeks) for staff from government, semi-government and private services, teachers/leaders of local technical education institutions, and from NGOs, agribusinesses and farmer's organisations.
Integrated Environment and Water Management (4 weeks – also in French) for environmental practitioners, water resource managers and others working with environmental issues.
Gestión de programas y proyectos (5 weeks) is a programme management course in Spanish.
Climate Change Mainstreaming for staff working with government, in civil society and private sector with an interest in mainstreaming climate change.

Our evaluations show that the courses havea considerable effect
- also after fellows return home.
74% of the fellows gained highly in individual knowledge/skills.
69 % of the fellows have shown much effort in applying their new capabilities.
High impact at programme level is reported for 49 % of the fellows, which also indicates a sizeable trickle-down effect.
In addition, the latest survey shows that 79% of the fellows still stay with the host organisation 2,5 years after the training.
