Objectives Education objectives (for current offerings) • Participants will learn about current PBM Pharmacy informatics Education Activities for VA FileMan reports and MUMPS programming language • Participants will learn how to access and  use PBM SharePoint  as a rich resource of information for past and present sessions  of VA FileMan and MUMPS • Participants will learn about future sessions to be offered by PBM PI.

  3. PBM-Sponsored Training Courses • FileMan • Basic • Intermediate • Advanced • MUMPS • Basic • Intermediate/Advanced (combined section)

  4. FileMan • Current Year • Basic: Once every other week (recent change) • Intermediate: Once every other week • Advanced: Once Monthly • Next Scheduled Registration • Approximately Oct 2011 (coincides with start of FY2012) • Faculty: Tom Fagan and Shawn Toy

  5. MUMPS • Current Year • Basic: Once every other week • Intermediate/Advanced: Once every other week • Next Scheduled Registration • Approximately Oct 2011 (start of FY 2012) • Faculty: Rob Silverman

  7. Lessons Learned • The choice of the alternating-week schedule was to provide instructors more time for documentation and recording processing • With travel schedules, leave, holidays and other meetings, this has shown to be less effective as it can result in periods of 1 month between sessions for attendees
