Context 2006 • Context for developing Specialist Support…….complex and varied LDD requiring specialist knowledge. • Key Factors: Training and qualifications to underpin existing experience of support staff. • FdA Inclusive Practice developed for Autism and Behaviour as the 2 specialisms, in the first instance.

FdA Inclusive Practice • 120 credits at Level 1 in year 1 • 120 credits at Level 2 in year 2. • 6 modules are studied at Level 1, all of which are mandatory. • Year 1 – Level 1 - 20 Credit modules • Introduction to Education Policy and Disability Equality • Thinking and Learning • Supporting Professional Practice •  Behaviour for Learning •  Voice of the Learner •  Contributing to the support of People with Autistic Spectrum Conditions

Year 2 • In year 2 select from optional modules in : Autism, Spld and Behaviour for Learning (B4L). • Supporting people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions • Understanding Learners with Literacy Difficulties • Supporting Professional Practice • Independent Study – choose from Autism, Spld or Behaviour for Learning •  Working in Partnership; Parents and Professionals • Contributions to Social Cohesion and Well Being in Educational Settings • Year 3 BA Hons
