The Module • The Project • Not group work • Where to source projects • Pre requisites
Teaching Learning and Assessment • 1st year • Teaching – 40% • Learning – 40% • Assessment – 20% • This module • Teaching – 10% • Assessment – 40% • Learning – 50%
Module structure • SCRUM • Builds on existing knowledge • Some specific resources • First 3 weeks to push you in the right direction • Module material on main web site (self study) • The main teaching resource is the rest of the course • No lone rangers
What Technology may you use? • In theory any • Must demonstrate team integration • I don’t know everything • My role is mainly to assess but also to support • I can support – • VB, Access, C#, SQL Server, Enterprise Architect, Team Foundation Server, JavaScript, HTML (5), a subset of design documents
Assessment • What is your core functionality? • Individual assessment in your own words – copy and paste jobs will be awarded zero marks and possible result in plagiarism hearing • Meetings absence, lateness or uncompleted paperwork – zero marks for that SPRINT – get it all ready and printed/stapled in advance of your meeting • Project Contract – what are you doing? • Initial deliverable – how will you do it? • Final report – what did you do? • Presentation dates to be announced • Support from CLaSS
