Objective of the National Food Security Mission (NFSM) • National Food Security Mission (NFSM) is a centrally sponsored scheme with an objective to increase production and productivity of wheat, rice and pulses on a sustainable basis so as to ensure food security of the country. • The approach is to bridge the yield gap in respect of these crops through improved technologies and farm management practices & to increase production of rice, wheat and pulses through area expansion, crop protection and productivity enhancement in a sustainable manner in the identified districts.
Company Profile of HIL • HINDUSTAN INSECTICIDES LIMITED (HIL) is a Government of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers. • HIL was incorporated in March, 1954 to meet the requirements of insecticides for National Malaria Eradication Programme launched by the Government of India. • Presently HIL has three units located at Udyagamondal, Cochin (1958), Rasayani, Maharashtra (1997) and Bathinda, Punjab (2003)
