  1. Bellringer • What are 5 things you are thankful for this Thanksgiving? • How will you spend your Thanksgiving this year?

  2. Acrostic poem • Using the word THANKFUL create an acrostic poem. • What is an acrostic poem? • An acrostic poem uses the letters in a topic word to begin each line. All lines of the poem should relate to or describe the poem.

  3. Guidelines • Must use the word THANKFUL. • Each line must have at least 4 words. • Must contain at least 3 of the following: • Simile • Metaphor • Personification • Onomatopoeia • Idiom • Hyperbole • Alliteration • Must have at least 4 examples of either internal rhyme or end rhyme. Underline each example in your poem.
