Keystones • This year: • Senior must show proficiency on local assessment • All grade 11 students take Keystone in Algebra 1, English and Biology who have NOT already scored Proficient or Advanced • All students in Algebra 1, Biology and English 10 will take the Keystone • Recent investigation- Login/Logout counts • Dates are on HSMasterCalendar • Winter testing: 1/8/13 – 1/17/13 • Spring Testing: 5/12/13-5/23/13 udea.org

Professional Development • Focus: Teacher Effectiveness • Professional Development/Coverage “Duty” on schedule- Peer observations • See Teacher Master Schedule for courses being offered • Email Connie with who, when, what class was observed for tracking purposes only. It is the expectation that one peer observation will be completed each semester for those with the time in their schedule. See admin for coverage if you do not have the time in your schedule. • Tech Thursdays- New this year

  9. P.R.O.W.L. Providing Regular Opportunities With Learning

  10. What is P.R.O.W.L.? • P.R.O.W.L. is an incentive program whose goal is to raise student performance through consistent, daily teaching and learning with regular classroom teachers.

  11. Why does this matter? • While we have been blessed with wonderful substitutes in this district, none of them are capable of providing the same teaching and learning experience as you, the regular classroom teacher. YOU ARE OUR STUDENTS’ BEST OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN; YOUR ATTENDANCE MATTERS!

  12. How does P.R.O.W.L. work? • At the end of every marking period every staff member who has perfect attendance will have his or her name entered into a drawing to win a $50.00 gift card.

  13. Aren’t We Spending Money to Save Money? • The money being afforded to P.R.O.W.L. is NOT coming from the school’s budget but will be funded with the Giant, Lifetouch, and Target funds that we receive on a yearly basis.

  14. Bobcats who P.R.O.W.L.! • Encouraging students to attend our classes by modeling good attendance habits is yet another way for us to be role models to our students. • Your consistent attendance can help make every day a day that the bobcats P.R.O.W.L.!
