Our approach Goal A Profile is a technical specification describing: • the choreography of the business process(es) covered, • the electronic business transactions exchanged as part of the business process , • the business rules governing the execution of that business process(es), its business collaborations and business transactions, as well as any constraints on information elements used • the information content of the electronic business transactions exchanged.   9. BII syntax binding Defines how information requirements expressed in a profile can be met by the target XML syntaxes.

  10. BII validation tools • Tools to ensure that instance documents exchanged “on the wire” conforms to the rules of the Profile.

Core information requirements • BII is defining core information requirement models • the set of information elements sufficient to cater for the generally expressed business requirements applicable throughout the European market. • BII specifications can be implemented as is, but are also intended for further customization.
