  5. Course Description The Internet is causing a revolution in the way goods and services are sold in almost every business sector. This course will explore the different options available to businesses for setting up businesses on the World Wide Web. Students will evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of conducting business on the Web as well as hosting their own site versus using a hosting service. Students will review and evaluate e-commerce software, security issues, electronic payment systems, strategies for marketing, sales, and promotion, and strategies for purchasing and support activities, Web auctions, virtual communities, and Web portals.
