1. Israeli Arguments 1. Palestinians are always causing Intifadas, we need a way to protect ourselves from the extremists and to protect our beloved land. 2. Jews should control all of Israel because it is theirs rightfully on historical claims. 3. We waged war because we need to secure the land that is ours. Israel was made for Jews until everyone else came and destroyed Jerusalem. Palestinian Arguments 1. We have returned the land to the Israelis for peace and yet they still attack and bomb us. There have been many violent recent events such as bombing. 2. Israel is constantly building new settlements to push the Palestinian out, trying to create a Diaspora. 3. Israel is illegally occupying the land of the Palestinian people, just like in the Six Days War they are constantly trying to control more of the land. They want eventual annexation, but we won’t let that happen and that is why we retaliate. Conflict Analysis Solution: There is not exactly the best solution, because if there was then the problem would be over right now, but it’s not. But if I was president I would try to end the reign of terrorist groups such as Hamas, I would support Israel as much as I could and create a healthy and friendly relationship. In time the Israel and Palestinian will simmer down and one way to cool it down faster is to stop the violence and Intifadas. The UN Partition plan didn’t work because even though you made Israel an independent country, it’s a war inside the country and making it independent doesn’t make a big of a deal.
