  2. In English we add –er to adjectives to make comparisons such as smarter, faster, taller, etc.

  3. There is no ending to add on to adjectives in Spanish to make comparisons so we use más or menos.

  4. Más + adjective + que More+adjective+than Example… Shaq esmás alto queyo. The “more tall” works like our –er.

  5. Menos+ adjective + que Less+ adjective + than Yo soy menosaltaque Shaq I am less tall than Shaq. The “less tall” is like saying shorter.

  6. You can use the same concept with nouns to make comparisons. Example… Bill Gates tienemásdineroqueyo.

  12. Just like you wouldn’t say gooder or badder in English there are words for better and worse. Mejor= better Peor= worse

  13. Others that don’t use más or menos: Mayor= older Menor= younger

  14. Yotengo 26 años. Mihermanotiene 31 años. Éles mayor queyo. Yo soy menorqueél.

  15. Use tan…como for adjectives that are equal. Example… Sra Stanley es tan simpáticacomoSraEchel.

  16. Use tanto…como for nouns that are equal. Example… Tengotantosañoscomo T-Pain.
