Anemometer: An instrument used to measure the speed of the wind.
Beaufort scale: a rating scale used to measure wind speed through observations.
Engineer: A person who uses his or her creativity and understanding of mathematics and science to design things that solve problems.
Engineering design process: Te steps that engineers use to design something to solve a problem.
Mechanical engineering: The branch of engineering that deals with the design and performance of machines.
Technology: Any thing, system, or process that deals with the design and performance of machines.
Windmill: A machine that harnesses the energy of the wind to do useful work.
Wind turbine: A kind of windmill that changes the energy of air (wind) into electrical energy (electricity).
