Roles of CamInfo • Data collection and compilation • Census and Surveys (CSES, CDHS, Establishment Survey, Anthropometric Survey, etc.) which conducted by National Institute of Statistics • Administrative data from line-ministries (EMIS, HIS, Agriculture, etc.) • Meta-data • Meta-data will be created for indicator. Meta-data includes definition of indicator, method of computation, Source, etc.
Roles of CamInfo • Data view • The Data View displays the following options: Time Period, Area ID, Area Name, Indicator, Data Value, Unit, Subgroup, Source, etc. • Table, Graph and Map: Create presentation
Benefits of CamInfo • An integrated approach to data management - all data compiled on one platform • Easy retrieval of data • Promotes greater use and consistency of quality data • Promotes better understanding of development indicators • Database and software are both in Khmer and English language • Multiple data sources including census, surveys and administrative data
CamInfo Components • Indicators: 181 • I-U-S: 17,340 • Data value: 291,174 • Time series: 1979 - 2010 • Geographical area: 1,817 (down to commune levels) • Subgroup: Sex, Age, Urban, Rural, etc. • Unit: Tons; Hectars; 10,000 live births, etc. • Sources: 35 different sources: CDHS, Census, MoEYS, MoH, MoT, etc. • Meta-data: definition of indicator, method of computation, etc.
