  6. Beginning • Hook the reader • Introduce setting (world building), character, conflict • Some initial plot and character development

  7. Middle • Plot and character development; tension thickens!

  8. Ending • 3 C’s: Crisis, Climax, and Consequences • Crisis: The point where the tension hits its maximum • Climax: Where the tension breaks (conflict, or the major dramatic question, is resolved) • Consequences: Resolution & wrap-up
