  2. Early Life • Balboa was a Spanish explorer. • He was born in 1475. • He died in 1519.

  3. Early Life • Balboa’s full name was Vasco Nuez De Balboa. • Balboa was the first European to see the Pacific ocean from the Eastern shore. • Balboa was born in Jerez De Los Caballeros,Spain.

  4. His life • Balboa tried to be a farmer but he was not good at it. • Balboa married a chief daughter. • Balboa crossed the Densest rainforest.

  5. Adventures • Balboa set out with a party of 67 to cross the mountains. • Balboa spent a month collecting gold and pearls. • Spain was jealous of his successes.

  6. Accused • Balboa was arrested and convicted of treason. • Balboa was benheaded January 1519. • Some people from southeast Asia settled on the islands of the pacific.
