IEC • Annual IEC plan (district specific) focussing on proposed NG villages for the year • Inter personal communication – Good communicator in each villlage • Volunteers be selected and their efforts sh be recognised • Religious and social leaders may be involved • All govt functionaries at GP level sh be involved • VWSC must be formed in each GP

  4. IEC (cont’d) • Capacity Building fund must be utilised systematically • Annual Training calendar – dist specific • Surveillance committees @ GP level • Good Morning Pathak @ Kohlapur

  5. Financial assistance • Must • In two installments (NBA component) • To cater the need for material cost-1st installment • After utilisation – 2nd installment • Flow of funds • State specific pattern

  6. Convergence • MNREGA • Mandatory for the beneficiary to participate in the construction of IHHL • Convergence for School, Anganwadi, SLWM works • IAY • Along with 2nd & 3rd installment of IAY • Should we converge those new IAY houses we allot in a NGP awarded village?

  7. SLWM • Project mode – DPR for each village • Decentralised planning • DWSM should technically support villages to prepare DPR • To be Prepared as per NBA and MNREGA guidelines • Additional funds can be tapped from MNREGA

  8. Other issues • Anganwadi in private buildings • RF of NBA sh be used • Paucity of land • Group of families can use single toilet • Adding population • GP sh pass a resolution for mandatory toilets in new constructions • And ensure sustainablity

Outcomes & Sustainability • School children may be used to find the progress • Inter district cross verification before online entry of villages for NGP • Sustainability/Slip back • Reverification after 2 yrs of achievement of NGP • Through health indicators • Sustaining villages can be appreciated
