2. What our film is about? Psychological Thriller about an ordinary man facing the loss of his father, and becomes obsessed with the mystery figure he believes is connected to his father death, yet it seems he is the only one that has seen him. • Introduced to main character Ted Robinson and mysterious figure. • Finds Polaroid of his father’s dead body. • Visits paramedics to investigate. • Visits Police for further investigation. • Introduced to Ted’s wife Martha Robinson and friend Peter Jones who sends him to Therapy. • Therapist tells Ted that the mysterious figure is in his imagination. • Visits Father’s office and finds a photo. • Ted thinks he sees the Mysterious figure and chases him, finding out that it is the wrong man. • Martha and Therapist send Ted to rehab. • After coming out of rehab, Ted does not see the mysterious figure for 2 weeks. • Ted sees the mysterious figure again and follows him. • The next day, see a newspaper that says he is dead.

3. Who would watch our film? • We have picked the ages from 15 to 40 to be our target audience. • Targeted at both a Male and female audience. • This film will engage the audience because they can never be sure what is real and what is imaginary. What successful films can you compare yours too ? • Inception- The audience don’t know what is real in the end. • Collateral- Ted will be an ordinary guy like Max the taxi driver. • Shutter Island- An investigation is going on through out the film. • Se7en- Ted receives a picture of his dads dead body. • Fatal Attraction- Ted is being stalked by the mysterious character in the film.

Opening Title Sequence • Ted sitting on a bench at the train station, reading a newspaper. • Recognises a mysterious figure on the other side of Train station. • This triggers a flash back of Ted’s fathers funeral. • Goes back to the present, a train passes by mysterious figure and is gone. • Ted notices a box that has been left on opposite side of train station where the mysterious figure was. • Ted goes to retrieve the box which has his name on it. • Opens box to find a polaroid of his father’s dead body. • Camera zooms on the polaroid and the title will appear.

5. Mise-en-scene Location: Train station and grave yard Costume: Ted is wearing his work clothes Mysterious figure is wearing a suit with trench coat and fedora Prop: Newspaper, box with polaroid in it, fedora. Lighting: Train station-Natural lighting with desaturation. Grave yard-Natural lighting

Summary • Our film is a psychological Thriller about a man Ted Robinson trying to find out how this mysterious figure is connected to his father’s death. • It is a hybrid of a Horror/Thriller genre as it has this supernatural aspect to it. The idea that no one knows if the mysterious character is real or not. • Our OTS will introduce the key characters, Ted and the mysterious figure • The OTS shows that it is a psychological Thriller, as the audience will question who this mysterious figure is and how is he connected to Ted’s fathers death. • Flash back will show how Ted recognises the mysterious figure. • The Polaroid is what triggers Ted to investigate his father’s death. • Any questions?
