The Budget • DoIT had been looking at about a $900K cut • Governor’s May 7th announcement • Furloughs • Pay raise changes • Additional targeted cuts
Furloughs • Many rumors • It looks like there will be furloughs • There are no details on what will happen yet • Accounts for about 3% of salary line (based on all funds)
Pay Raise Changes • 2% raise rescinded for non-represented staff • Governor cannot rescind raises for represented staff • Unions in discussions • Need legislative and JOCER (Joint Committee on Employment Relations) action
Additional Targeted Cuts • About 5% (of what?) • Do not know the actual number • Must be looked at in concert with cuts already announced
