SWAFS.2.2016- Promoting GE in H2020 and the ERA • Funding scheme : ERANET Cofund – 5 million EUR • Specific challenge: • Complete the ERA – still wide disparities among Member States • Follow-up of GenderNET • Mapping and analysis national programmes & initiatives • Development of common indicators • Identify priority activities for strategic transnational cooperation

SWAFS.2.2016- Promoting GE in H2020 and the ERA • Scope: • Further cooperation, based on priorities identified by GenderNET • Co-funded activities – joint calls with EU co-funding • Extension of previous mapping and analysis to other Member States / Associated Countries • Assess gender differences / bias in access to research grants ; define conditions for equal opp.

SWAFS.3.2016-2017 Support to Research Organisations to implement gender equality plans Aim: Contribute to implement the ERA objectives through Gender Equality Plans (GEPs) in Research Performing Organisations (RPOs) and Research Funding Organisations (RFOs) GEPs in RPOs and RFOs shall : • Conduct an impact assessment / audit of procedures and practices in order to identify gender bias at organisation level; • Implement innovative strategies to address gender bias • Set targets, monitor progress via indicators at organisation level

Support to Research Organisations to implement gender equality plans RFOs and/or RPOs shall be at a starting stage in setting up GEPs; allocation of resources focused on implementing GEPs The proposal shall include a first assessment of gender issues in each partner organisations RFOs and/or RPOs shall situate GEPs in relation with national provisions on GE in research Partners shall ensure support form their highest management level The proposal shall include a methodology for impartially assessing progress made – specific partner or sub-contracter

  9. SWAFS.19.2016 Networking of national representatives and resources centres on gender in R&I • Specific Challenge: • Gender equality objectives in the ERA and implementation of the ERA Roadmap adopted in 2015 • Funding scheme : CSA • Budget : 1.95 million EUR

SWAFS.19.2016 Networking of national representatives and resources centres on gender in R&I • Scope : • Networking of national representatives for EU MS and AC in support of the implementation of the ERA Roadmap • National representatives shall be officially appointed by the relevant national authorities ( appointement letters) • Liaise with the Helsinki group in GE in R&I • Duration : at least till 2020 • Expected impact : • Better coordination of MS efforts • Better synergy between national and EU level (H 2020 )

SWAFS.8.2017 European community of Practice to support institutional change • Specific challenge : • Supportimplementation of gender equality plans in research organisations • with exchange of practice and knowledge and cooperation between gender –in-science infrastructuress, centres or departments • Funding scheme : CSA • Budget : 3 million EUR

SWAFS.8.2017 European community of Practice to support institutional change • Scope: • Research and practitioners centres • Sharing experience between more and less advanced institutions • Development of specific tools; mentoring, training, fora…. • The proposals shall undertake an assessment of the needs of the less advanced institutions and countries • Expected Impact : • Increase gender expertise across Eruope • Increased engagement on institutional change
