Attendees (1) Workshop wrap-up - Helge.Meinhard (at) CERN.ch • 61 registered participants • Healthy mixture of experienced and first-time attendants! • 55 from Europe (including 17 (!) from EC-JRC), 5 from North America, 1 from South Africa • Dominated by academia and research – could do with more company participation • 27 different affiliations • 24 from Europe • 5 Italy, 3 Belgium, 1 France, 3 Germany, 2 Czech Republic, 1 The Netherlands, 1 Russia, 2 Spain, 2 Switzerland, 4 United Kingdom • 2 from North America • 1 from South Africa

Presentations Workshop wrap-up - Helge.Meinhard (at) CERN.ch • 38 contributions by 21 speakers • Scheduled total duration: 19 hours 20 minutes • HTCondor team: 12 hours 15 minutes • Users: 7 hours 05 minutes • Rich, very interesting, heavy programme • Comprehensive coverage of HTCondor • User reports covering various domains • High quality of presentations • Thanks to all speakers and chair persons for good time-keeping

  6. Breaks Workshop wrap-up - Helge.Meinhard (at) CERN.ch • Coffee breaks • Lunches • Dinner, evening discussions • ‘Welcome’ reception • Conference dinner Countless hours of valuable discussion

Facilities Workshop wrap-up - Helge.Meinhard (at) CERN.ch • Excellent meeting room • Exactly right size, well equipped, excellent acoustics • Lobby with coffee area • AV running (mostly) smoothly • One or two handful remote attendees • Perhaps we were even lucky that the room foreseen originally was not available • Nice parallel rooms for office hours etc. • Positive feedback on smaller slices every day • Very smooth local organisation

Next Workshop (1) Workshop wrap-up - Helge.Meinhard (at) CERN.ch • HTCondor team and organising committee suggest continuing the workshop series • Complementary to regular HTCondor weeks in Madison (in May each year) • Travel in Europe easier for many European attendees • Following our calls earlier this week, a number of contacts established to candidate sites • Too early to announce… or even to decide! • Organising committee will meet soon • Targeting similar time slot: 2nd half September 2020 • Input much welcome – contact me or any other member of the organising committee

Next Workshop (2) Workshop wrap-up - Helge.Meinhard (at) CERN.ch • This time, went from 3 days to 3.5 days • Still full programme, but time for visits and (very importantly!) office hours • My personal suggestion: Target again Tuesday 09:00 h to Friday lunchtime • All feedback welcome • Further future: if you are able and interested to host workshop after that or any future one, please let me know
