Goals To accelerate the English acquisition of recent immigrant students The students will create projects, videos, audio files, and other material for the iPod To obtain videos and educational audio from the Internet The Newcomer Academy teachers will be able to put appropriate material on the iPod to supplement their curriculum and reinforce vocabulary The students can utilize the iPod at home, during weekends, and during vacations so that they do experience language loss - portability
