  2. Brief Overview Was the 19th FIFA World Cup World Cup from June 11, to June 11 Bidding process for World Cup Host only open to African Nations FIFA selected South Africa over Morococo and Egypt 1st African nation to host World Cup Several benefits and downfalls to this world cup

Host Selection Five African Nations Bid: South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Libya and Tunsia (Joint Bid) Due to rules, a Joint Bid was not allowed Winner announced by SeppBlatter at Media Conference on May 15, 2004 in Zurich, Switzerland South Africa received 14 votes Morocco received 10 votes Egypt received 0 votes
  4. Venues There were 10 Venues in 9 cities. The biggest being Soccer City, in Johannesburg with a capacity of 84,490.
