Web Statistics Capability Overview Who are our Visitors? • Using web log analysis, visitors can be categorized as USA public (.com, .net domains), USA government (.gov) USA educational (.edu) USA non-profit (.org) and international. Knowing the proportion of visitors from these categories provides data useful in determining if the target audience of the website is being reached. • The list of visitors can be filtered to determine the number of visitors from a particular host or institution. The NAI has found this useful in determining the webpage usage of its members. The operating system, browser, and screen resolution of visitors is also collected. NASA Astrobiology Institute
