When to Use the Smaller Works (SBDSW) document? • Lumpsum or admeasure contracts Under $10 Million • Design provided by Employer • Works are well defined and are unlikely to change in quantity or specification (non-complex works) • Unlikely to encounter difficult or unforeseen site conditions (for example, hidden foundation problems) • Main text refers to admeasurement contracts - but Alternative clauses or texts are supplied for use with lump sum contracts • Intended for Post Qualification (but could be modified for PQ)
