Mohammad Raza Pahlevi becomes Shah of Iran last until 1979 – when the Islamic revolution overthrew the Shah and became ANTI-American
Middle East • Egypt – President Nasser wanted to build a dam on the Nile for irrigation U.S. U.K. offered to help – Nasser flirted with Soviets and West cut off aid.
