  1. BJHS Homeroom Mrs. McNeil

  2. Welcome to Homeroom!!! • Mrs. McNeil • Door will be shut at 8:15 so be on time. • This is where we will always meet for homeroom. Mr. Parker will speak to Sophomores at the beginning of 4th block in the auditorium.

  3. You are mine. • I will be your homeroom teacher through graduation from Bob Jones.    Think of me as your mother at BJHS. If you are confused or need help, send me an email (gfmcneil@madisoncity.k12.al.us) or stop by and I’ll try to get you an answer. Use common sense and don’t be late for a class because you have a question. You are in high school and need to sit in the big kid chair now and not get into trouble.

  4. New Homeroom Structure: • You will be given info and materials that are important to YOU!! • Like how to run for SGA, purchase game tickets, when is the next ACT, report cards • Roll will be take each time and detention will be assigned if late. Be on time and in seat.

  5. Homeroom Dates • Monday, Aug. 20 First thing. • Wednesday, Aug. 22 First thing. • After 1st block (between 1st and 2nd block) • 8/28/12 10/8/12 • 9/4/12 10/25/12 • 9/17/12 I would put all of these in my calendar. If central office changes the progress report schedules these dates could change.

  6. Distribution: Sign distribution sheet today. • Madison City Code of Conduct • BJHS Handbook • Student Health Assessment • You need to get signatures in 4 places: • 2 pages at end of Code of Conduct Letter • Signature page in BJHS Handbook • Student Health Assessment • Return these 4 pages Wednesday during homeroom.

  7. Demographic Sheets: • Make corrections and return today or Wednesday. • See me for a Free/Reduced form or pick one up in the front office. • Lunch Numbers- write on your hand so you won’t forget.

  8. Purple Schedules • This is your final schedule. • DO NOTgo to the counseling office for a schedule “change”. Throw away all other schedules.

  9. Schedule “corrections” will ONLY be made for 1 of the following reasons: • Duplication of courses • Courses out of sequence • Sports PE/Band to be entered due to auditions or tryouts
