  2. Dictionary • A dictionary shows what the word means and how to use them in a sentence and what kind of speech it is. • Use guide words

  3. Thesaurus • A Thesaurus shows all kinds of synonyms for a word and shows contrasting words and also show antonyms.

  4. Atlas An atlas shows different maps of a state

  5. Almanac • An almanac shows the weather forecast, the astronomical information, and tide tables of the year.

  6. Periodical • A periodical is a magazine published at a regular intervals of more than one day or a relating to a public issued at such intervals.

  7. Encyclopedia • A big reference work with all subjects.

  8. Online Resources • References found on the Internet.

  9. Bibliography • A Bibliography is a list of writing related to a given subject or a list of writings used or considered by an author in preparing a particular work.

  10. Choose Topic • Decide what your research would be about.

  11. Form Questions • Make a list of questions you would ask.

  12. Identify Keywords • Choosing words for your topic.

  13. Select Sources • Decide where you would find your information.

  14. Skimming • Skimming is to read or glance through a book quickly or superficially.

  15. Paraphrase • Paraphrase is to look at the author’s words and put it in your own words.

  16. Note Taking • Note taking is to read your resources and make notes.

  17. Organizing • Organizing means to put your work in order.

  18. Presenting • Presenting means to show others people your finished work.
