  3. UNIVERSITY IN NUMBERS • 14.414 students in Higher School programs (“Fachhochschule”) • 30.701 students in UNI level programs • 4.865 post graduate students • 5.533 employees • 4.020 teaching staff and researchers • 300 Million Euro annual budget

  4. STUDY PROGRAMS We offer study programs in all fields of science and arts: • 39 Higher School level programs • 130 UNI level programs • 90 Doctoral programs

  5. INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS We are very active in international research and teaching programs. In this year we are participating in: • 5 TEMPUS programs • More then 110 research projects within the 6th European Framework • And are intensively preparing for participation in the 7th European Framework

QUALITY • We strive to be amongst the best European universities and are currently within the top 400 on the Times Higher Education Ranking • The Faculty of Economics has been recently recognized as one of the top 90 business schools in the world • Between 2002 and 2005 we published 5.602 papers in reviews that are registered by the Web of Science. • We have an internal system of continuous quality control

  7. PARTNERSHIP WITH INDUSTRY AND ECONOMY • Numerous projects are carried out by university faculties. • We are currently establishing a private-public enterprise to facilitate the increase of interdisciplinary projects on a university level.

  8. THE BOLOGNA REFORM • Approximately 50% of our programs were modified in accordance with Bologna standards. • 3 faculties (Economics, Social Sciences, Public Administration) have already implemented new Bologna programs

  9. STUDENT MOBILITY • Approximately 700 students annually participate in exchange programs with EU member states. • Some of our programs are already carried out in English. More English programs will follow in the upcoming years.
